In the City of St. George, we believe that community gatherings are the lifeblood of a thriving city. They do more than simply fill our calendars; they weave together the cultural, social, and economic threads that define our shared identity. Whether through fitness, the arts, or the celebration of our heritage, these events transform our city into a home where everyone feels a true sense of belonging.

The spirit of connection was on full display during April’s St. George Art Festival, which welcomed tens of thousands of people—residents and visitors alike—in a celebration of art and culture.

Looking ahead, we are already building excitement for our signature traditions. We are officially on the “Road to 50” for the St. George Marathon. This world-class event is celebrating five decades as an autumn tradition in St. George, and this year’s race promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Add to that our 37-year sister-city partnership with Ibigawa, and it becomes clear that our reach extends far beyond our borders, connecting us to friends across the globe.

Likewise, preparations are underway for Dixie Days in September, when we will honor our pioneer heritage through the Dixie Roundup Rodeo, Dinner on Main, the Dixie Days Festival, the carnival, historical treks, a golf tournament, and much more.

I encourage you to step outside this summer and engage with your neighbors. Whether you are participating in a Mayor’s Walk, exploring a downtown gallery, or simply enjoying our stunning landscapes, remember that every interaction strengthens the fabric of our community.
